We had a glimpse of spring here in Chicago a while back but it’s turned cold again. During the winter I continue to bicycle as my primary form of transportation but this cold is really getting old. My Gary Fisher bike is almost one-year old and I really love it and it’s huge, steel basket. I hauled a package to the post office today, picked up library books and groceries. The two snowy pictures below are from February and a reminder that it could be worse than the bitter cold I experienced today.
Although biking is getting popular in a few American cities most people think I’m crazy (you get used to avoiding cars, honest!). What do my non-American readers do for transportation? Are any of you using bikes?
