Fifth night on my trek - Tatopani, Nepal

Tatopani, Nepal | 21 November, 2006 | $0.69

As we continued to hike downhill the scenery became more lush we passed many more small farms and even saw a waterfall or two. I continued to hike off and on with the two firefighters from Colorado whom I met a few days into my trek. We celebrated arriving safely with a dip in the natural hot pool in Tatopani with the other hikers and some of the porters.

Your ability to keep such amazing records of your life on the road amazes me! 🙂

The details are so fascinating! I just have a small Moleskine calendar book that I carry with me and I write down what I spend, travel times, currency conversion rates and any ATM or money exchanges.

See, that’s how I know that although I only spent $0.69 on my hotel room in Tatopani I spent $10.42 on food, $2.92 on drinks and $0.28 on the hot spring entrance fee.
