Published in Everywhere Magazine

The email just came… my photo of a lemur in Isialo National Park in Madagascar will definitely be in Issue #4 of Everywhere Magazine! I haven’t seen a publication date for the issue yet (I’m guessing August/September) but you can catch a sneak peek or click through the whole issue here. My photo is toward the end of the National Parks stories on a spread with a bunch of wildlife shots. Despite the fact that, as a graphic designer, I’ve had the opportunity to have my photos and illustrations in numerous books and even photoshop my face into a spread or two this is still very exciting.

Are you getting paid? Is Megan now a “professional photographer”? Does this mean I can refer to you as “my photographer friend”???” :)

    Very cool.

  • Thanks, Kim. The lemurs were next to a picnic spot and they were used to being photographed. I think they were posing for me.

Stu, I am getting paid. Everywhere pays everyone who contributes (writing or photo) $100 and a subscription. Because there are no more subscriptions they are paying an extra $25. It’s nice that everyone is paid although a little strange that feature writers make the same as someone with a photo that only takes up 1/6th of the page. I guess I’m used to dealing with buying photography where the price is dictated by size.

I would not insult the photographers I know by calling myself a professional photographer but you can call me one if you want!

    Fantastic Megan!

It’s awesome that the picture was published. You truly came back with some amazing pictures :)

I’m working on my travels which should start at the very end of the year in Australia.
