Souvenirs

I have bought a lot of souvenirs on my trip. Most of the things sold on souvenir stands aren't anything I would like to have around my house so I seek out things that I actually like and would buy if at home. I also try to pick up interesting textiles and costumes or objects very specific to a place or culture like the Hmong headdresses I bought in Kengtung, Myanmar. The problem with buying things is that you have to carry them around with you until you go home or find a safe place to mail them home. I carried two Chinese posters around with me for weeks, strapped to the side of my backpack. The souvenirs below don't always represent the typical souvenirs of a country--they're just what I liked.
